WE ARE A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOCUSED ON SUPPORTING, STRENGTHENING AND GROWING THE OCEANSIDE SURF COMMUNITY.

 

There are two main components to the OBC; community and surf competition. Community is priority, and surf competition will compliment by bringing members closer together as in a team setting.

 With the community in focus, the Oceanside Boardriders Club is an open platform for anyone and everyone who cares about oceanside and wants to see it grow in the right direction. Oceanside’s surf and beach community is where it all starts. The OBC will rely on its members to voice their opinions, bring up topics that need focus and be the roots of the club and community. The club will focus on its members first as the clubs main goal is to support the surf community.

 Surf competitions will be put on by the West Coast Board Riders, an organization that  provides a series of events for the obc and other clubs to compete against each other. The OBC will send a team to compete in each WCBR event and unlike other boardriders clubs,  the OBC covers the fees for their team to compete in these events.

 The OBC has a board of directors which founded, organizes and decides on club actions. The board is comprised of 11 individuals who were voted on by a large group of community leaders when the club was first being brainstormed. This collection of long-time Oceanside locals are committed to supporting the Oceanside surf community through contests, events and leadership both in and out of the water.
